What a gem of a spot! The food was superb! Coffee was perfect. Staff was all very attentive, professional, and kind. What a fun, upbeat, breath of fresh air in the Wausau / Rib Mountain dining scene. I would eat here for any meal of the day - not just breakfast! Sampled/Pictured: The Savory Dutch Baby (Gruyère Fondu!?!?! To die for!), a steak and egg brekki, and some super tasty cold brew concoctions!
Everything was great. We came two days in a row because it wasn't worth trying another restaurant! Plenty of coffee options. Day 1 I had the yogurt with fruit and granola and the avocado toast. Definitely a shareable size. Day 2 was chilaquiles and wow was the plate huge. Plan to split that with someone!

Great place right next to granite peak ski resort. The food and service was really good. Savory Dutch baby was delicious. Chilaquiles were decent. I want to try the sweet Dutch baby next time I'm in the area. Will definitely go again.
The food is delicious and the vibe is outstanding. Theres lots of windows so theres a lot of natural light that comes in while youre eating. Service is fast and professional. They serve mostly american food and 3-5 items mexican inspired dishes. The price isnt bad. About 10-20 dollars per person that includes food and drinks. Great place to stop at if youre in the area
This place came recommended to me by the girls at Kreger's Bakery (10/10 recommend) The menu has a lovely variety of not only food but beverages as well! They serve cafe quality coffee/espresso along with brunch alcoholic necessities. I couldn't decide on which eggs Benedict to get so I opted for the Benny Flight (picture included). My friend got the honey bear omelet and the presentation was spectacular! I also recommend the uncharge for the gouda hashbrowns!

They offer a full coffee bar, along with mimosas and beer, making it a great place for any kind of breakfast outing. We had a group of 10 people, and every single person loved their meal. The service was friendly and efficient, and they were able to accommodate our large group with ease. If you're looking for an outstanding breakfast, Breakfast Bear is a must-visit! We were on our way home from Lost Lake on Memorial Day. We were looking for a restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast Bear was one of the few restaurants open. So we decided to try it and are happy we did. The food was excellent. I had something I had never had before. It was Chorizo Scramble and Breakfast Potatoes. It was delicious! My wife had the Breakfast Platter and she loved it. She also had a cocktail called The Dreamsicle and she loved it too. They had a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff friendly and attentive.
We had a great experience at Black Bear Diner. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the décor made the restaurant feel comfortable and inviting from the moment we walked in. Service was prompt, our server was attentive throughout the meal, and everyone we interacted with was friendly. My fiancé ordered a breakfast plate with pancakes and added strawberries, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the beef and egg tacos, which were recommended by our server, and they were absolutely delicious. The portion size was generous and we even had leftovers to take with us. Great food, excellent service, and a comfortable dining experience. We’d definitely return.

Also lots of Mexican twists on food as well as Greek inspired entrees with ingredients like birria or corn tacos and pesto and feta. They also have an assortment of wraps and salads very healthy clean eating great place for vegans vegetarians or people looking for high-quality nutritious food. The restaurant is beautifully constructed with tons of dining room space even though it was fairly busy for a Tuesday morning as this is now a new locals favorite spot to hang out and get breakfast, the service was prompt and the food came out beautifully made and quickly. I imagine this place can pack in lots of people and get lots of breakfasts made. The French fry quality here is amazing. Delicious and crispy I love the textured outside. The hollandaise sauce was deliciously tart and we enjoyed our coffees. Prices were very fair and we were able to splurge for the table without going broke.
